A'Ebony Moore and Charidy Krouse are the brains beneath the tiaras, providing "happily ever after" to children of the Emerald Coast with their party planning business, Enchanted Parties.

Both of the professional princesses have backgrounds in dance, theater, party planning and music, so opening Enchanted Parties seemed like a natural choice for the entertainers turned moms turned business owners.

"I really could not do this without her though," said Krouse. "There would not be an Enchanted Parties without A’Ebony; we're like peanut butter and jelly."

Moore and Krouse lifted the veil on their royally unique business venture in 2008, providing a party service to the children of Okaloosa County that they are sure to remember forever.

Along with their employees, Moore and Krouse strive to provide an authentic experience while in character.

And characters are their specialty. Enchanted Parties boasts a wide range of characters — including more than 20 beloved childhood favorites inspired by Disney, Mattel, Marvel and other childhood favorites.

The princesses and heroes may look familiar but some of them have more generic names to avoid trademark infringement.

Parents and kids can choose from classics like Cinderella, Snow White or Rapunzel. Or they could get a visit from the lesser known Frog Princess, Brave Princess, Green Tinker Fairy, or Mermaid Princess.

The little heroes can have Pirate Captain, America Hero or Spider Hero swing by their party to save the day.

You and your child can choose from a number of party packages that best suit your needs.

Whether your child is interested in a pink carpet fashion show, a tea party, a spa party, a scavenger hunt or something completely customizable, Enchanted Parties has something for everyone.

"We are all about being part of community events like parades and festivals," said Krouse.

The princesses recently participated in the Destin Mardi Gras Parade. And from 2 to 3:30 p.m. on March 16, Enchanted Parties is hosting a Princess Camp in Niceville at Café Bienville for those who want to learn the true meaning of being a princess. For $50, Snow White and Belle will teach princess dancing, etiquette and the other secrets usually only privy to royals.

Spaces are limited so reserve your spot by March 1.
