Harold Horst Loeffler
Harold Horst Loeffler, 54, of Destin, Fla., passed away Feb. 22, 2013, in a local hospital.
He was born on Nov. 11, 1958, in Wiesbaden, Germany, to Gerhard and Helgard Loeffler.
He was the owner and captain of the charter boat Un Reel. He was well respected in the fishing community with a passion for cobia fishing. Harold has battled courageously for the past several years from surviving cancer to a needed transplant.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gerhard Loeffler, and his loving wife of 27 years, Becky Loeffler.
He is survived by his mother, Helgard Loeffler; sister, Ruwena Healy; and nephews, Clayton and Preston.
A celebration of Harold's life will be held at 6 p.m. Feb. 25, with a time of visitation one hour prior, at Emerald Coast Funeral Home, 113 Racetrack Road N.E. in Fort Walton Beach.
A funeral procession leaves Emerald Coast Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 26 for an 11 a.m. graveside service at Destin Memorial Cemetery.

Mae Houston Lantrip
Mae Houston Lantrip, part-time resident of Destin, was born on May 5, 1925, in Abilene, Texas, and passed away Feb. 23, 2013, in Plano, Texas.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Feb. 26 at Sparkman/Hillcrest.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Feb. 27 at Park Cities Baptist Church, Ellis Chapel, 3933 Northwest Parkway in Dallas, with a graveside service to follow at 3:30 p.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 1133 Cottonwood St. in Abilene.
