Willingham Plumbing took an early 18-3 lead in the first two innings and then held off a 30-run surge from Doc's Softball Softies to post a 37-36 win in the Men's Competitive Softball League at Morgan Sports Center in Destin.



After three complete innings, Plumbing was up 30-6. In the last two innings, Doc's blasted the ball scoring 15 runs in both the fourth and fifth innings. However, Willingham held on with one in the fourth and six in the fifth.



Kyle Kennedy slapped two homers, three doubles and a single for four RBIs for Plumbing. Tate Deshong ripped two home runs and three singles for four RBIs, and Parker Willingham hit two doubles and three singles for four RBIs. Aaron Sweeney cracked two home runs, while Travis Sweeney and Andrew Elliott each connected for one.



Hulk Holcomb knocked in seven runs for Doc's on two home runs, two doubles and a single. Timmy Sallee hit a home run, two doubles and two singles for four RBIs, and Eddie Rivera homered, doubled and hit two singles for two RBIs. Kevin Bush clobbered two homers, one for a grand slam.



First Class 28, Luxe 13



First Class jumped out to a 13-5 lead in the first three innings. In the fourth, First Class continued to pull away with 10 more  runs.



Jamie Steiner slapped two home runs, a double and two singles for seven RBIs for First Class. Kyle Kreich cranked out four home runs for seven RBIs, and Brent Hicks connected for three singles for three RBIs. Brandon Huey hit a home run.



Jeremy Viaynet doubled and hit two singles for an RBI for Luxe. Lenny Matos hit three singles, and John Velez hit two singles for an RBI.



Willingham Plumbing 32, Luxe 20



Plumbing led 25-10 at the end of three innings.



Mike Chapman drilled two home runs, a double and two singles for five RBIs for Plumbing. Ranson Early belted two homers, two doubles and a single for four RBIs, while Tate Deshong hit three doubles and two singles for five RBIs. Daniel Spencer homered, doubled and hit three singles for three RBIs. Others hitting home runs were Aaron Sweeney, Andrew Elliott and Kyle Kennedy.



Jonathan Clark doubled and hit three singles for three RBIs for Luxe. Andy Perez doubled and hit two singles for an RBI, and Lenny Matos homered and singled for an RBI.



Doc's Softball Softies 29, First Class 28



Trailing 17-10, Doc's came roaring back in the fourth inning with 12 runs to pull off the win.



Kevin Bush knocked in eight runs for Doc's on three home runs and three singles. Eddie Rivera homered, doubled and hit two singles for five RBIs, and Kyle Ely hit two homers and a single for three RBIs. Hulk Holcomb also slapped a home run.



Brandon Patzig was the top batter for First Class with two home runs, a double and two singles for eight RBIs. Cody Montoya doubled and hit three singles for an RBI, and Chris Poole hit two doubles and two singles for three RBIs.
