Biker’s Blast for the Past
VALPARAISO – Biker’s Blast for the Past Motorcycle Mystery Poker Run to benefit the Heritage Museum of Northwest Florida will be held Sept. 22 at the Museum, 115 Westview Ave. Register from 9-11 a.m. Final destination is The Edge, 113 Edge Ave. in Niceville, with live entertainment, shrimp boil, 50/50 and raffles. OKALOOSA ISLAND – The Fourth Annual Mullet Toss will be held at 3 p.m. Sept. 22 at the Fort Walton Elks Lodge. Adult and kids mullet toss at 4 p.m. Also, live music on the deck and a fish fry, $9/adults and $4/children under 12.
FORT WALTON BEACH – The Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce and the FL Panhandle BBQ Society host the inaugural FWB BBQ Festival from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 22 at the Landing. The family-friendly event includes a competitive BBQ Cook-off, cold beer, live music by The Blues Injectors and the Blue Lew and Nora Wixted Show, and free activities for the kids including children’s inflatables, fire truck, and the Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge Conservation Station. Cash prizes and trophies will be presented with the Grand Champion walking away with $500 cash and a trophy. A People’s Choice Award will also be presented. Other tasty items will be available, along with arts and crafts and other vendors. Beal Street Bottle Club
FORT WALTON BEACH – Amy Hart Band will appear at Beal Street Bottle Club from 7-9 p.m. Sept. 23 at Beal Street Bottle Club, 70 Beal Parkway. Tickets are $15 at the door or at amyhart.com. Blues At The Top is a benefit to raise money to fly the band to Nepal in November to appear at The Himalayan Blues Fest. The proceeds will help with travel expenses and the production of a live video and CD to be released in January.

DeFUNIAK SPRINGS – Emerald Coast Wine Sellers will host a Tailgate Party from 5-8 p.m. Sept. 28 at Chautauqua Vineyards & Winery, 364 Hugh Adams Road, with food, free car cruise-in, corn hole game and music. OKALOOSA ISLAND – The Emerald Coast Boat Show will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 28-30 at the Emerald Coast Convention Center. This 3-day show will feature center consoles, runabouts, pontoons, cruisers, and deck boats, from 14' to more than 39' in length. Adult admission is only $5.00 and kids under 16 and parking are always free.
SANTA ROSA BEACH – Share the Shelter Music Fest will be held from 12-10 p.m. Sept. 29 at Gulf Place on the corner of 30-A and Hwy. 393. This celebration features musical talent, merchandise vendors, and a doggie play area. The profits from the event will go the Shelter House and Alaqua Animal Refuge.
DESTIN – Children can decorate their wagons in a favorite nautical theme and bring them to AJ’s parking lot for the Wagon Parade at 2 p.m. Sept. 29. There will be kid’s activities, refreshments, and awards for the Best Wagons.
