20 years ago 1993



Emergency vehicles issued toll-free cards to use on Mid-Bay Bridge as bridge opens June 26 with a 5K walk/run across the bridge.



An ordinance governing personal watercraft rental passed on first reading and requires a refueling plan and a beach access permit to transport personal watercraft onto or from the beach. Permanent restroom facilities are also a requirement.



City Councilman Guy Clark suggests that a municipal golf course on land being considered for airport expansion would bring in money to support future recreation projects.
