One of Zane's best friends, Taylor Lynch, said Zane attended Destin Middle School and Fort Walton Beach High School his freshman year.
“He had many friends from Destin and grew up here," Lynch wrote in an email. "Unfortunately the memorial service is only for family and close friends and many people who loved Zane will not be able to attend.
"I’m planning a celebration of life at sunset from 6:30-7:30 p.m. July 13 at the East Jetties in Destin on Holiday Isle. We are going to do a balloon release and tie pictures of him and all of his friends to the balloons to send some of our favorite memories to heaven. Zane lived a life worth celebrating and so much more."
