Rice Krispies Treats Sundaes
2 Rice Krispies Treats Original
2 scoops vanilla ice cream
2 Tbsp. hot fudge sauce
Whipped cream for garnish
Rice Krispies Treats Cereal, for garnish
Cut 2 Kellogg's Rice Krispies Treats bars to fit the bottom of a sundae dish. Place ice cream on top of bars and pour hot fudge over ice cream. Top with whipped cream and Kellogg's Rice Krispies Treats cereal, if desired.
1 cup heavy cream
1 1/2 cups strong espresso, cooled
3 Tbsp. brandy, optional
8 (4 oz) store-bought ladyfingers or vanilla wafers
1 pint ice cream or gelato
Whisk cream in a medium bowl until stiff peaks form; cover with plastic wrap, and place in refrigerator until ready to serve.
Combine espresso and brandy, if using, in a medium bowl. Break 4 ladyfingers in half; dip into espresso mixture until soaked but not falling apart, several seconds. Arrange two halves in a layer at the bottom of each parfait glass. Top with a scoop of ice cream. Repeat with another layer of soaked ladyfingers, and top with a scoop of ice cream. Garnish each glass with a dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkling of chocolate shavings, if desired. Serve immediately. Serves 4.
Peanut Butter Sundae
1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
1/3 cup peanut butter, smooth or chunky
1/3 cup chopped peanuts, optional
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Vanilla ice cream, or flavor of your choice
Combine sweetened condensed milk and peanut butter in a heavy saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring often, until thickened.
Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla, cinnamon and peanuts.
Refrigerate leftovers. Makes 2 cups.
Box of Cereal Breakfast Sundae
1/2 cup berries
1/2 cup yogurt, vanilla or your choice
1/4 cup cereal
Layer the ingredients into a glass or parfait dish beginning with the berries, then yogurt, and last cereal.
Repeat two more times to finish with a layer of cereal on top.
If you like, top with a strawberry or berry of choice.
Five ingredients do not include salt, pepper, butter, oil and optional ingredients.
