SEASIDE - The E.O. Wilson Biophilia Center hosts a fundraiser for area student programs and the preservation of Longleaf pine trees from 5-9 p.m. Sept. 8 at Bud & Alley’s. The public is encouraged to attend to learn more about the Center. The event will include a silent auction and a short presentation with animals by the Center’s President, Christy Scally and The Center’s Director, Paul Arthur. NICEVILLE - The Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra presents a special fund raiser at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 9 with guest pianist Alon Goldstein, who recently made his debut as soloist with the Philadelphia Orchestr. Tickets available at the Arts Center Box Office for $25 each. For a contribution of $100, patrons may receive two recital tickets as well as an invitation to a wine reception from 7-9 p.m. Sept. 10 to meet the artist.
