For 23 years, Harvest Crusades has been invited to cities all over the world to share the Good News of Jesus Christ, and has seen more than 400,000 people register decisions of faith in Him.
Building on that foundation, Harvest America has amplified the message to be heard all over the nation. More than just a webcast, Harvest America is hundreds of churches banding together to proclaim the gospel live, simultaneously, in host locations nationwide.
The Church of Destin, 16 local churches who bring us the Annual Week of Blessings every spring, will host a free concert from 6-9 p.m. Sept. 28 at the HarborWalk stage in conjunction with the live-stream feed of Harvest America. In case of rain, the event will move to Destin United Methodist Church, 200 Beach Drive.
Guest artists in Destin will be national recording artist Francesca Battistelli and Shake the City, and the Harvest America live-stream feed will feature the music of Christian artists MercyMe, Jeremy Camp, Kirk Franklin, and others.
A gospel message by Greg Laurie, senior pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, Calif., and Harvest Orange County in Irvine, Calif., will be transmitted from an arena in Philadelphia.
In 1990, Laurie began holding large-scale public evangelistic events called Harvest Crusades. Since that time, more than 4,849,800 people have attended Harvest Crusades events around the United States, ranging from the annual event at Angel Stadium in Anaheim to Madison Square Garden in New York City. In 2012, Laurie launched Harvest America.
At the end of the service, Laurie will invite those who would like to receive Christ as Lord and Savior to stand in front of the screen/stage. After a brief explanation, he will pray with those who have come forward.
