We have the answer to a Destin Log reader’s inquiry about what was happening Sunday with a helicopter hovering for hours over the Solaris cruise yacht in the Destin Pass.
It seems that SunQuest Cruises owner, James Murray, Jr., decided to do a re-enactment of his own wedding ceremony that had already taken place a few short months ago to Rhonda Chaloupka, now Mrs. James Murray.
Why, one might ask? To capture photos of a wedding for the award-winning Solaris with aerial shots by Jacqueline Ward Images from the helicopter hovering above the event. The entire wedding party, complete with relatives, guests, chef prepared food, and fun were on board to re-live the Chaloupka/Murray wedding once again.
“We kept saying we were all having dejá vu,” commented Murray. “But the real purpose of the images will be to continue to promote our beautiful Gulf Coast area as the premier regional and national destination wedding choice for brides and grooms. When you have a wedding on the water, on a yacht, cruising around Destin, Florida, it’s incredible. Aerial photos are the best way to capture and show this experience.”
In addition to numerous awards from Wedding Wire and theknot, the luxury yacht was recently voted the 2013 Best Wedding Venue by readers of Northwest Florida’s Emerald Coast Magazine. This is the third consecutive year to receive this prestigious Best Of honor.
Providing premier dining and entertainment events to the Emerald Coast since 2004, SunQuest Cruises offers public dinner dance cruises year round, is available by reservation to host special events, weddings, private parties, receptions and corporate events. The Solaris is a 125-foot, 3-deck, 5,200 square foot yacht docked at Baytowne Marina in Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. For further information, visit www.SunQuestCruises.com, or call (850) 650-2519.
