Destin company partners with Make-A-Wish foundation

Watertree Health, a leading provider of free prescription discount cards based in Destin, is partnering with Make-A-Wish chapters nationwide to set up a program that will provide ongoing financial support for the important work they do for children with life-threatening medical conditions.

From now to Oct. 25, 2014, Watertree Health will donate 50 cents to Make-A-Wish Central & Northern Florida for every script discounted using the special program cards. Individuals should ask their pharmacy if they are taking part in this fundraising effort to benefit Make-A-Wish Central & Northern Florida.

Individuals can also go to to download a pre-activated card.

Sara Noel Childers joins Proffitt PR

Proffitt PR recently announced the addition of Sara Noel Childers to their team of public relations professionals.

Childers, 25, of Tallahassee was hired as public relations and social media coordinator. She will manage public relations, event and social media initiatives. She assists the firm with servicing current clients as well as growing the Proffitt PR client portfolio.

Childers joins Proffitt PR from Florida Outdoor Advertising Association where she was the public service/communications director. She has a B.S. in Marketing from FSU’s College of Business and an M.S. in Kinesiology from The University of Georgia’s Graduate School.

As a graduate student she worked in the Walt Disney World’s Corporate Alliances office as a business development intern.

Stichter Riedel opens Destin office

Tampa-based Stichter, Riedel, Blain & Prosser, P.A. announced that it has opened a second satellite office, this one in Destin at 4475 Legendary Drive, Suite 40. The firm also has an office in Ft. Myers.  In July 2013, Stichter Riedel began its 40th year specializing in the representation of debtors, creditors’ committees, purchasers, and secured and unsecured creditors in bankruptcy cases and out of court workouts and in representing parties in commercial litigation pending in state or federal courts.
