Rocky Bayou Christian Schoolís Destin Campus enjoyed presentations recently from Henderson Beach State Park Rangers, Ms. Lynda Smith and Evan Waters, and Resolute Martial Arts and Family Fitness Mr. and Mrs. Hamm.

The students learned about turtle nesting and habitat from rangers. After the turtle presentation, Resolute Martial Arts offered solutions for dealing with bullying and spoke about courage, self-discipline, kindness, respect and responsibility.

Then the students had the opportunity to try some hands-on karate.  Encouraged by the students, teachers and parents, Rocky Bayou Destinís Principal, Joe Quilit, volunteered to try and break a slab of wood.  The highlight of the field trip was when, after a little practice and focus, Principal Quilit broke the board in half.
