With about 100 youth already signed up to play, the Destin Little League Association is making one more push this Saturday to register youth who would like to play ball during the 2014 season.

"We're hoping for at least 300 all together," said Destin Little League President Ryan Boswell.

Registration will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 18 at the Family Life Center at Destin United Methodist Church. Cost is $75 per player.

"We lowered our registration fee $25 this year to make it more affordable for everyone," Boswell said.

Youth will need to bring three proofs of residency to registration.

If the potential player is unable to attend registration, they can register online at destinlittleleague.net.

"This is the last week to register before teams are selected," Boswell said.

In addition to registration, the league is looking for coaches and umpires.

As an incentive, Boswell said, "If you volunteer to be a manager, your child's registration is free."

Also if a child brings in a sponsorship to the league, their registration is waved.
