Living the Mission



Immanuel Anglican Church 250 Indian Bayou Trail in Destin, celebrates “Living the Mission” on Jan. 26 with special guest the Right Rev. Edmund Ahmoah, bishop of Dunkwa on Offin Diocese, Ghana.



Bishop Ahmoah, one of the bishops who oversee the work of the Anglican Mission in the Americas, of which Immanuel is a member, will speak at the 9 and 11:01 a.m. services.

Live service



Pastors Walter and Barbara Williams and the members of All God’s Children and the Living Word Worship Center will have a Friday Night Live Service at 7 p.m. Jan. 31 at 40 S. John Sims Parkway in Valparaiso.



Special guest will be Joni Ames, itinerant prophetic minister, writer, teacher, and a world renowned speaker. All are invited. For more information call 678-7632.



Healing service at Immanuel



Immanuel Anglican Church will hold a healing service at 10 a.m. Feb. 2 in the church sanctuary, 250 Indian Bayou Trail in Destin. The service will include praise and worship, healing prayer with laying on of hands and anointing with holy oil. Holy Communion will be offered after the prayer service for those who wish to receive it.



Friends and members of Immanuel have witnessed several miracles of healing and look forward to seeing what the Lord will do in this season. Healing services will be offered at Immanuel quarterly throughout 2014. Everyone is welcome to come and receive from the Lord.



Chocolat’ Fare



The Destin United Methodist Women will host its annual Chocolat’ Fare from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 8 in the Destin Life Center at Destin United Methodist Church. Everything is homemade — and chocolate. The women will also have their jewelry for sale.



Night of comedy



Gordon Douglas presents a night of comedy and laughter at 6 p.m. Feb. 9 at Village Baptist Church in Destin. Admission is free.



Shirley Simpson



Shirley Simpson will perform as Katharine Hepburn in a one-woman show Feb. 22 at Destiny Worship Center for the benefit of women’s scholarships. Tickets are available through Carol Newitt at The Gathering at Sandestin.
