Roger C. Krueger
Roger C. Krueger, 90, resident of Pensacola, Fla., for 44 years, died Jan. 1, 2014. Roger was born in North Tonawanda, N.Y., on Oct. 15, 1923. He was a staff sergeant during WW II. He flew 51 combat missions as a tail gunner in the European Theatre, including raids over the Ploesti Oil Fields. Upon his retirement from the service, he worked at NAS Pensacola for 24 years.
Roger is preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Marie Krueger; brother, Bob; and daughter, Judy Wansley.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Marcella; daughter, Lynn Krueger; sons, Tim Krueger of Destin (Jill Cadenhead), Marcus Grimes (Gwen) and Ronnie Grimes (Ruby); daughter, Salina Hall (David); grandchildren, Chris Jordan (April), Blake Krueger, Lizzie Krueger, Justin Wansley (Bianca), Jessie Grimes and Jeremy Hall; and one great-great-grandchild, Audrey.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Feb. 6 at Barrancas National Cemetery.
