Countertop makeover



Studio Destin will hold a free countertop makeover demonstration from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 15 at 120 Benning Drive #2 in the Liberty Center. This informational seminar and demonstration is for homeowners or professionals. Call 598-3289 to make a reservation.



Horticulture Studies Group



The Tri-County Horticulture Studies Group will meet at 10 a.m. March 20 in the meeting room at the Fort Walton Beach Library, 185 Miracle Strip Parkway. At that time Marie Harrison will teach about the Araceae (aroid) family.



Following the program, the group will visit the Mary Esther Community garden to learn about the garden from some of its members and leaders. The community garden can be found by following U.S. Hwy. 98 West from Fort Walton Beach to Mary Esther Drive, which is the last street on the right before Hurlburt Field. The Tri-County Horticulture Studies Group is sponsored by Valparaiso Garden Club and led by a steering committee of individuals from the three-county area. Anyone interested in learning about gardening and the horticulture of the Emerald Coast area is welcome. Meetings are free and open to the public.
