The management at Destin Commons wants to assure all customers that they are open for business. The initial demolition phase, that has transformed eight acres of parking lot spaces into a fenced construction zone, does not involve any tenant closures.



“The shopping center will maintain normal operating hours throughout the entire course of the expansion project,” said Kristina Trujillo, director of marketing for Destin Commons.



Directional signage has been implemented on the fencing at the north entrances to the center, pointing visitors to their favorite shops. Graphics for the construction fence are currently underway.



Ample parking is still available in the frontage areas of Belk, Hard Rock Cafe and Bass Pro Shops. There is additional parking in the 850-space parking garage on the west side of Destin Commons, behind Avantgarde Salon. All parking at the rear of the center remains open as well.



Destin Commons is committed to providing an enjoyable experience for all who visit and work at the open-air lifestyle center. Retailers and restaurants encourage guests to visit this holiday season, beginning with the Halloween Haunt from 4-6 p.m. Oct. 27. The next event on the calendar is Black Friday, Nov. 23 followed by Santa’s arrival from 5-7 p.m. Nov. 24.
