Destin’s original dolphin cruise, The Southern Star, rounds out 2012 as the recipient of TripAdvisor’s “Certificate of Excellence” award.
The eco-friendly dolphin cruise, has received over 85 reviews totaling 4.5 out five stars.
“We are honored and humbled by this award. It has been such an amazing year with consistent book-outs on both boats while maintaining an excellent level of customer service to our visitors,” says Capt. Steve Wilson.
Adding to this banner 2012 came the addition of the Buccaneer Pirate Cruise to the Maritime Chartering fleet.
The Buccaneer Pirate Cruise allows kids of all ages to enjoy a two-hour treasure quest cruise through the Destin harbor and the Gulf of Mexico.
Children are entertained the entire time with “yo, ho, hos,” story-telling, water gun fights, face-painting, searching for treasure and more, while parents and guardians enjoy an adult beverage with the onboard cash bar and wonderful sunsets.
Friendly bantering by the crew of the Buccaneer provides consistent laughter for the whole family.
“Our slogan on the Buccaneer is ‘unlock the treasures of your heart and let your dreams come true,’ and we feel we have already started to capture that sentiment with both the pirate ship and the dolphin cruise.
They serve as a great complement to each other, and we cannot wait for what 2013 will have in store,” continues Wilson.
The TripAdvisor certificate rounds out the other fine achievements made this year including a record-breaking 55,000 guests onboard, being chosen by Regions Bank as part of their national 2013 campaign and being featured by the Christian based, OneHope, to inspire both their internal staff and missionaries abroad with their testimonials.
