The Fine & Performing Arts Division of Northwest Florida State College will hold auditions for new members interested in joining the Northwest Florida Symphony Youth Orchestra. The Northwest Florida Symphony Youth Orchestra is a full orchestra of more than 50 talented young musicians ranging in 5th to 12th grade.

Auditions for interested advanced string students and any high school age woodwinds, brass and percussionists will audition from 1-2:30 p.m. Jan. 13 in the Orchestra room of the Music Wing at The Mattie Kelly Arts Center at NWFSC. There is a special need for trumpets, clarinet, bassoon, French horn players and percussionists. Weekly rehearsals will then begin on Jan. 20.
