Haiti relief benefit concert
The Okaloosa County Chapter of the NAACP will bring together some of the area’s best bands and gospel singers for the NAACP4Haiti Concert in the Park at The Landing March 14. The concert and festivities are free and open to the public.
Area rock band, Blood Stained Grace, is just one of the local groups that will be featured at the event. But, this group is taking the benefit one step further donating 100 percent of their online music sales on the day of the event to the relief effort.
“When the NAACP invited us, my band mates and I wanted to do more than just play; we wanted to make a direct contribution,” said James Lopez, a producer with Firestorm Creative Studios and lead singer of Blood Stained Grace.
Blood Stained Grace will perform at 3 p.m. during the 12 to 4 p.m. set and area gospel singers and groups will close out the event from 4 to 6 p.m.
