A touch of Destin feng shui comes to Pineapple Villas on Laguna Beach

Destin interior decorator and feng shui consultant Peggy Adams has brought her touch of easygoing ambiance to the interior and exterior renovation of Pineapple Villas on Laguna Beach.

By observing feng shui principles, Peggy Adams’ special touches have produced a relaxing, homey atmosphere with a “back-in-the-day” feeling of simplicity.

Much of the property’s artwork has been painted on site. Original oil paintings in each room were created by Peggy and her colleagues, Mississippi artist Gail Eastland and Colleen Abernethy.

Peggy’s husband and Villas Co-owner Jim Adams, stated, “even the bed coverings have been custom made with Peggy’s unique style.

She and Gail have done a remarkable job with this transformation, from the ‘iron pineapple’ and ‘Betty Boop’ at the facade, and throughout each suite, with no two alike. Pineapple has just become one of the coolest properties with a sweet, restful spirit.”

Jim Adams is owner of Adams Real Estate, Inc. of Destin and developer of one of Destin’s most successful condominium resorts, “The Resorts of Pelican Beach.”

Charles E. Noonan, managing partner of IDH Hospitality Group, and Adams, managing partner of Mandalay LLC, held a ribbon cutting June 25 with the Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce to celebrate the opening of the newly restored and completely renovated boutique suite hotel.

Located directly on the Gulf of Mexico, in the quiet beachside community of Laguna Beach in Northwest Florida, Pineapple Villas commands an ideal site for a definitive “get away.”

With only 18 guest rooms and a private beach, the Villas offer the comforts of home: Equipped  kitchens, private balconies and individual decor. Each has a different floor plan and expression of resort living.

This is the third renovation and repositioning resort hotel in Northwest Florida that Noonan has directed.
