    Making their dreams come true

Three members of the Destin Lifeguard program had the opportunity to make it possible for some special kids from Fort White, Fla., to go fishing aboard the Sweet Jody. The special-needs program required a ratio of one lifeguard for every four kids for the trip to be possible. Under the supervision of teacher Jenee DeLaney, nine kids worked hard to collect enough money for their trip by selling different items. Destin Lifeguards Robert Sanclemente, Ken Kraft and Jacob Holbrook ensured the students’ safety and made it possible for a fun and safe day. At the end of the trip the kids caught about 30 fish. They are already planning their next trip to Destin.
