NOAA releases revised hurricane preparedness guidelines (DOCUMENT)

The government has released new hurricane preparedness guidelines for the upcoming storm season.
The guidelines, prepared by the National Weather Service, emphasize the basics: storm definitions, intensity categories, wind and water effects, places to get the latest information and what people should do if a hurricane approaches their area.
