Ace Hardware helps those in need
Get free hot dog and support Mission Love Seeds
The children in the Philippines love hot dogs — so Mike Richardson, owner of Ace Hardware in Miramar Beach, wants you to enjoy a free one.
Mission Love Seeds helps these children and their families living in poverty, so Anderson will have free hot dogs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18 at Ace Hardware, 11176 Emerald Coast Parkway in Miramar Beach.
“We try to help as many people and locals as we can,” Richardson told The Log. “ We helped them (Mission Love Seeds) a lot with building supplies and paint during Katrina.”
John Hawbaker and Barbi Carroll, founders of Mission Love Seeds, will be the “celebrity chefs” on hand to cook the dogs.
The children in the Philippines love to eat hot dogs, which, according to Hawbaker, are not like ours. They are only served as a special treat.
Tickets for the Mission fundraiser, four prize packages including a week’s condo stay, meals and more, will be available for purchase for only $5. A bake sale will feature items donated by local businesses.
Proceeds will go to Mission Love Seeds to use for hurricane victims along the Gulf Coast, Destin residents, children in Appalachia, Kentucky, and the children in the Philippines.
