Husband: Wife sliced my groin on Thanksgiving
FORT WALTON BEACH - A wife on Green Acres Road faces felony charges after her husband says she cut his genitals on Thanksgiving, then sliced his fingers as he tried to protect himself.
But 40-year-old Alicia Zepeda disputes the allegation, according to the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office.
She still was charged with aggravated battery Thanksgiving afternoon after a deputy visited her husband at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center.
He explained to investigators that he thought he and his wife were about to have sexual relations before the incident - she was the one who began taking off his pants.
Then he felt what he thought was a knife against his genital area, he said.
He looked down and she cut him across the left side of that area, according to the arrest report. He said she tried to cut him again, but he put his left hand down to protect himself and she sliced two of his fingers instead.
He left to get medical treatment. "A small argument ensued as he was walking out the door," according to the report.
Zepeda told investigators she never cut her husband's genitals. She acknowledged there was an argument over marital issues - and that she grabbed a knife - but said her husband tried to grab the knife from her, cutting himself in the process.
She is scheduled to appear in court Dec. 20. A mug shot was not immediately available.
