Shoplifter: I did steal the items and put them in my purse
DESTIN -- After loss prevention officers at Walmart watched a 23-year-old woman take items off the shelf and put them in her purse, he confronted her after she walked past the cash registers without paying for the items.
When interviewed by the loss prevention officer, Stephanie Renee Lewis of Pensacola, "spontaneously" said, "I did steal the items and put them in my purse."
The items totaled $316.84, which made the theft a felony.
