Woman fails to land a punch, starts kicking instead

DESTIN — A woman faces three misdemeanor charges after fighting her live-in boyfriend, according to an arrest re-port from the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were called to the couple’s home at 7:11 p.m. on Feb. 19 when an argument became physical. After failing to land several of the punches she threw at her boyfriend, the woman kicked him in the leg and pushed the front of his head with her open hand, the report said.

When the 28-year-old assistant manager was arrested, the deputy said she refused to obey verbal commands and had to be taken to the ground.

She was charged with second degree assault and first degree battery. Both of the charges were related to the domestic violence, according to the report. The woman was also charged with first degree resisting an officer, obstruction without violence.
