Businesses, schools, bases close for Ida (LIST)

Okaloosa County

• Okaloosa County Schools, after school activities Monday canceled also

• Northwest Florida State College (All evening activities Monday will still occur)

• Pediatric Therapy Center

• All Fort Walton Beach Recreation and Cultural Services departments, including sporting events, are canceled Monday and Tuesday

• First Judicial Courts in Okaloosa County will close as dockets concluded and will be closed Tuesday*

• Okaloosa County courthouses will close at 2 p.m.

• Okaloosa County offices will close at 2 p.m. today and remain closed Tuesday

• Henderson Beach State Park

• Blackwater River State Park

• Rocky Bayou Christian School

• Northwest Florida Regional Airport will likely cancel all flights before the end of the day, but for now only American Airlines flights 3354, 3515, 2824, 3473 and US Airways flights 2289 and 2290 have been canceled. People should contact their airline directly for the most up-date cancellation information

• The Children's Center (daycare) in Fort Walton Beach

• All five Tax Collector Offices will close at 1:30 p.m. Monday and remain closed Tuesday

• Okaloosa County Health Department will close at 4 p.m. Monday and be closed Tuesday

• Bridgeway Center outpatient behavioral, educational, judicial and senior services in Fort Walton Beach and Crestview (essential 24-hour services such as emergency, crisis stabilization, detoxification and residential will remain open)

• VA outpatient clinics in Mobile, Ala., Pensacola, Eglin and Panama City

• Troy University sites in Fort Walton Beach, Hurlburt Field, Eglin AFB and Crestview will close at 3 p.m. Monday and remain closed Tuesday

• Agency for Persons with Disabilities will close at 2 p.m. Monday and will remain closed Tuesday (The wait list meeting at NWFSC Tuesday evening has also been canceled)

Base Closures

Eglin Air Force Base: All non-mission critical personnel are released at 5:30 p.m. today unless notified by their supervisors. No base deliveries will be accepted after 5:30 p.m. The Base Exchange will close at 5 p.m., the West Gate Shoppette will close at 6 p.m. and the East Gate Shoppette will close at 5 p.m. and the Commissary will close at 6:30 p.m. today.

• The East Gate will close at 2 a.m. and reopen no later than 8 a.m.
• The West Gate will remain open.
• Only the 96th Medical Group Emergency Room will remain open for emergency care.
• Eglin recreation areas will be closed.
• The West Gate Shoppette will reopen at 4 p.m.
• Normal operations on Eglin will resume at 4 p.m. Nov. 10 unless otherwise directed.

Hurlburt Field: All non-essential personnel are released at 3 p.m. today and the base will be closed Tuesday except for mission essential personnel.

• Child Development Center closed on Tuesday, 10 Nov.
• Dining facilities and Shoppette, gas stations and BX will remain open today.
• Dining facilities and Shoppette open normal hours on Tuesday.
• BX and Commissary closed on Tuesday.

 Santa Rosa County

• Santa Rosa County Schools closed Tuesday and all extracurricular activities canceled Monday, and some of the schools are letting out early today

• First Judicial Courts in Santa Rosa County will close as dockets concluded and will be closed Tuesday*

• Northwest Florida Aquatic Preserve Office

• All Gulf Island National Seashore parks closed

• All non-essential county offices will close at 4 p.m. Monday and remain closed Tuesday (Tax Collector Offices in the south end of the county will close at 3 p.m.)

• Santa Rosa courthouses

• Santa Rosa County Health department suspended all extended clinic hours for the H1N1 vaccine

Walton County

• All non-emergency county functions will close at noon today and remain closed Tuesday

• Walton County Schools and Monday afternoon extracurricular activities are also canceled

• First Judicial Courts in Walton County will close as dockets concluded and will be closed Tuesday*

• Topsail Hill Preserve State Park

• Eden Gardens State Park

• Grayton Beach State Park

• DeFuniak Springs city offices will close at 2 p.m. today and remain closed Tuesday

• DeFuniak Springs Council Meeting tonight is canceled

• SMART Growth Grant Workshop canceled Tuesday

• Veteran's Day Program scheduled for Wednesday at the Magnolia Cemetery canceled

• Walton Area Chamber of Commerce

PENSACOLA

• University of West Florida will close the main campus and all satellite campuses at 1 p.m. today and remain closed tomorrow

• The Gutter Lounge postponed tonight's show featuring Candye Kane

• Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder presentation, by Dr. R. Scott Benson of Creekside Psychiatric Center, scheduled at Sacred Heart Hospital

* People scheduled to be court on Tuesday should contact their attorney to reschedule and those without an attorney should contact the court when it reopens on Thursday to reschedule
