Destin thief gets off on the wrong foot with the right shoe
DESTIN - A car burglar only made off with half of a pair of $80 golf shoes during a recent theft.
A
man drove to a store and upon returning home realized his
passenger-side visor was down and an envelope he had left there was on
the floorboard. He then saw the car's owner's manual was missing from
the glove compartment, according to an Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office
offense report.
The man then checked the back of the 2008
Cadillac Escalade and found his golf clubs were missing, along with one
right brown and white Joy-brand gold shoe.
The man told a deputy someone had also entered his 2004 Lexus, but nothing had been taken.
The total value of the clubs and shoe taken on Aug. 23 was $2,600.
