BREAKING NEWS UPDATE: One man arrested, officers looking for second in connection with Destin murder (with MAP and MUGS)

THURSDAY AFTERNOON UPDATE:

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office has arrested one suspect and is actively searching for a second suspect in connection with a deadly Destin shooting Nov. 15

An active warrant signed today charges 23-year old Daundros Blackshear of Crestview with murder and armed robbery. Blackshear’s whereabouts are currently unknown and anyone with information is asked to contact the OCSO at 850-689-5705 or Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers at 850-863-TIPS.

The OCSO has also added charges of murder and robbery to two earlier crimes filed against 26-year old Arderius Warren of Crestview. Twenty-one-year old Junior Christopher Ferguson of Jamaica died after being shot multiple times while he sat in a car in the parking lot at the Gulf Terrace Condominiums. A friend, Peter Frazer was shot once in the right shoulder and survived.

Frazer told investigators he had made arrangements with Warren to buy five cellular phones and agreed to meet him at 4000 Gulf Terrace Drive for the exchange on the evening of Nov. 15.

Frazer says Warren arrived with two other men and when Frazer gave Warren the cash, one of those men, later identified as Blackshear, pulled out a gun, and began shooting.

Blackshear is believed to be armed and dangerous and members of the public should not attempt to approach him; call 9-1-1 or your local law enforcement agency to report his location.

You can also contact Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers and you do not have to give your name. Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers will pay a cash reward of up to one-thousand dollars if your information leads to Blackshear’s arrest.
