Destin City Hall

All City Council meetings, workshops, executive sessions and CRA Board meetings are held at the City Hall Annex, 4100 Indian Bayou Trail. All other board and committee meetings are held at City Hall, 4200 Indian Bayou Trail. Meetings are subject to change or cancellation without further notice. Agendas for city committees are posted at City Hall for review.

Choctawhatchee Audubon Society

The Choctawhatchee Audubon Society will meet at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 4 at NWF State College, Niceville, in the Learning Resources Center LRC Room 128. ." Local butterfly expert Mary Ann Friedman will tell us about the field survey work she is doing in Northwest Florida to help update the butterfly map of Florida.

 

Destin History and Fishing Museum  General Membership Meeting

The Destin History and Fishing Museum will hold its general membership meeting at 6 p.m. Feb. 9 at the Museum, 108 Stahlman Ave. The public is invited. Members are dedicated to supporting the Mission of the Museum in preserving, documenting and sharing the complete history of Destin. Memberships are $20/individual, $50/family, $100/club or charter boat. Other membership and donor levels are available. Call 837-6611.

 

Destin Garden Club

The Destin Garden Club will meet at 9:15 a.m. Feb. 9 at the Destin Library. Okaloosa County Master Gardeners Ed and Lynn Fabian will present the program on proper pruning. Call 231-5338.

 

Destin Woman’s Club

The Destin Woman's Club will meet at 11 a.m. Feb. 10 at the Sandestin Hilton Hotel. Park Ranger Leda Suydan will present a program about the shore birds and beach wildlife that frequent the Emerald Coast

Okaloosa Citizens Alliance

The Okaloosa Citizens Alliance meets at 3 p.m. at First City Bank, 135 Perry Ave. SE in Fort Walton Beach, on the third Wednesday of the month in January, March, April, June, July, September, October and December.

Evening quarterly meetings will be held at the Niceville City Council Chambers, 208 N. Partin Drive, at 6 p.m. on Feb. 17, May 19, Aug. 18 and Nov. 17. Call 244-4490.

 

Delta Delta Delta Sorority

The Emerald Coast Alum Chapter of Delta Delta Delta will meet Feb. 13 at Sandestin Beach Club. Call 897-3666.

 

Democratic Women’s Club

The Democratic Women’s Club of Okaloosa County will meet at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 18 at the Coach-N-Four on Lewis Turner Boulevard in Fort Walton Beach. Plans for the Florida Democratic Party Regional Workshop and Kennedy-King Dinner will be finalized.

 

Retired Officers Wives Club

The NWF Retired Officers Wives Club will meet at 11 a.m. Feb. 18 at the Eglin Officers Club.  Program is Bingo. For reservations call 609-8075 Feb. 11.

 

Coffee and Cars

Emerald Coast Muscle Car Club hosts Coffee and Cars the last Sunday of every month in Uptown Station in Fort Walton Beach. For information, call 200-2465 or e-mail dfureigh@fwb.org.

 

Destin Kiwanis Club

The Destin Kiwanis Club meets at 7:30 a.m. every Thursday at the Kelly Plantation Golf Club.

 

Destin Rotary

The Destin Rotary meets at 7:15 a.m. every Tuesday at Rutherford’s 465. Call 269-1080.

 

Flotilla 1-4 USCG Auxiliary

Flotilla 1-4 USCG Auxiliary meets at 7 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month at Coast Guard Station Destin on Okaloosa Island. Anyone wishing to become a member is welcome to attend. Prior military duty is not required. Call 837-3717.

 

Rotary Club of South Walton

The Rotary Club of South Walton meets for breakfast at 7:30 a.m. each Thursday morning at the Embassy Suites, Scenic Hwy. 98 in Miramar Beach. Visiting Rotarians and their guests are welcome. Call 267-2929.

 

Optimist Club

The Destin Optimist Club meets at noon on the second Thursday of each month at The Lighthouse restaurant. Cost of lunch is $11. Call 650-2800.
