Destin Middle Band hits right note

SUPERIOR PERFORMERS: The Destin Middle School Jazz Band received their Florida Bandmasters Association evaluation on Feb. 29 at Crestview High School. The band earned a superior rating, the highest rating possible. The jazz band members (pictured) are: Davis Bowyer, Dan Destin, Chance Dominique, Casey Evans, Cody Haeusler, CJ Jones, Eliot Kemper, Brian Kennedy, Hunter Meiser, Ben Myler, Kyler Renneker, Tyler Szymczak and Bobby Wagner. Not pictured are Cooper Barrett, Braden Smith and David Zondlo.

In February, members of the Destin Middle School band received their Solo Music Performance Assessment from the Florida Bandmasters Association. The following students earned superior medals, the highest rating possible, in their event:
Bobby Wagner, trumpet solo; Josh Griffin, clarinet solo; Ben Myler, trombone solo; Casey Evans, Paul Michaud and Steven Lipscomb, clarinet trio; Nina Bui, clarinet solo; Kyler Renneker, Bobby Wagner and Jimmy Wagers, trumpet trio; Paul Michaud, clarinet solo; Grey Carter, snare solo; Braden Smith, snare solo; Angela Roy, sax solo; Kyle Saleeby, French horn solo; CJ Jones, euphonium solo; Conner Holley and Bobby Wagner, trumpet duet; Haley Smith, trumpet solo; Davis Bowyer, trombone solo; Richard Barrington, trumpet solo; Tyler Szymczak, tuba solo; Sabrina Valenti, flute solo; Daniel Lagergren, trombone solo; Michael Wilk, xylophone solo; Cody Haeusler, tuba solo; Brian Kennedy, sax solo; Casey Evans, clarinet solo; Michael McLanahan, snare solo; Brian Kennedy and Jonathan Kight, sax duet; Jonathan Kight, sax solo; Wes Bell, trumpet solo; Jimmy Wagners, trumpet solo; Cassidy Broady and Sabrina Valenti, flute duet.
