Art exhibit: Ogden@WaterColor
WATERCOLOR – The diversity of Southern art and culture as explored through the medium of photography is now on view at the Ogden@WaterColor in WaterColor’s Town Center.
“Picturing the South – People, Land, Architecture, Cities: Photographs from the Permanent Collection of the Ogden Museum of Southern Art,” will showcase approximately 30 color and black and white photographs of the South ranging from the early 20th century to early 21st century.

Living Treasures of the Gulf
DESTIN – Henderson Beach State Park will host Living Treasures of the Gulf July 6-10. Learn about dolphins, sea turtles, jelly fish, sting rays and their family. All events are free to the public with paid park entrance fee.
Special guests include Shaun Wallace from “Monsters of the Deep” in Orange Beach Ala. and the Gulfarium in Fort Walton Beach. Park Rangers will present various interpretive programs daily. July 8 will be AWARE Kids Art Day and will include arts and crafts, a puppet show and a family movie.

Legendary Marine Swordfish Tournament
Legendary Marine presents the First Swordfish Shootout benefiting Choctawhatchee High School’s Football Program July 9-11.
Event kick’s off at 6:30 p.m. July 9 at with a Captain’s Party on the Emerald Grande Captain’s Deck.
Twenty Four hours of fishing starts at noon July 10 and ends at 11 a.m. July 11. The official tournament weigh-in station is located at HarborWalk Marina. The 24-hour tournament concludes with a Bloody Mary Brunch after the closing of the scales. Call 337-8300.
