Husband arrested for head-butting wife after she made him sleep outside
DESTIN - A 42-year-old man was arrested after a long night of drinking ended with a head butt.
Daniel D. Morse had been out drinking the night of Feb. 19, according to an Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office arrest report. He kept calling his wife while he was out and cursing at her. She eventually ignored his calls and went to bed.
Around 1:30 a.m., Morse came home and started kicking the front door, trying to get in the house, the report reads. His wife wouldn't let him in, so he got into his truck to go to sleep.
At about 2:20 a.m., the man came back and rang the door bell, begging his wife to let him in, the report said. As she opened the door to tell him she didn't want to fight, he "head butted" her in the face.
Morse's wife called 911, and Morse ran out to the truck and busted out the truck's windows with a brick, according to the report. When paramedics arrived, the wife refused medical treatment.
Morse was charged with felony domestic battery for having a prior conviction in Michigan in 2006. He is due in court April 6.
