Two women square off over stolen drugs, makeup items
DESTIN - An Okaloosa County Sheriff's deputy had to mediate a dispute between two women who accused each other of stealing items, from drugs to makeup brushes.
The woman who filed the complaint said she was taking the drug Adderall because she claimed it helped with her rock cocaine addiction, and that eight of her Adderall pills were stolen by the other woman, who had bummed pills from her in the past.
She told the deputy she and her husband rigged their bedroom with objects that would have to be moved in order to get to the pills, and when they returned to the home they shared with the woman they'd find the objects had been moved. She said she intentionally left her pills by the toilet to determine if the woman were stealing them. The woman knocked on their door, asked if the drugs were theirs, and returned them. But eight pills were missing.
The other woman denied taking the pills and accused the first woman of stealing makeup items.
The deputy declared the case inactive due to the lack of evidence and conflicting stories.
