The Gathering

On Sunday, Dec. 22, services will be held at 10 a.m. in the Ballroom of the Linkside Conference Center. It will be decorated with 28 beautiful poinsettias members purchased and made available for this service.  If you are one of these, you will find your name on one of them, so you can pick them up after the service to decorate your own home.

If you prefer, you can leave the poinsettia for our first ever Christmas Eve service which will be held at 5 p.m. Dec. 24 in the same room. That service will end with the traditional reading of the Christmas story and individual candles for the singing of “Silent Night.”

Mini Craft Market

The First Presbyterian Church of Fort Walton Beach, 134 Beal Avenue, SW, will hold a Mini Craft Market from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 22.

The products are fairly traded handmade items, many special for Christmas. When you purchase an item, whether for yourself or as a gift, you will know that you have made a difference in the lives of artisans who are striving to support their families or are being paid fairly for their efforts.  Call 243-4777. All monies go to the artisans or to charities.
