Erik Frederick of Destin received his Masters of Professional Studies in Turfgrass Management degree with distinction from Pennsylvania State University in University Park, Penn., Dec. 21.

He is a former Fort Walton Beach High School cum laude graduate and University of Florida graduate, Gainesville, Fla., in Turf Science.

He will utilize his degrees in turf science and turf management in the metropolitan New York golf community as first assistant golf course superintendent at the Village Club of Sands Point in New York, located on the former Guggenheim Estate. He was formerly at Winged Foot Golf Club, host to 12 USGA and/or PGA major championships.
