Easter bunnies, egg hunts, brunch and music highlight Easter week around Destin and Walton County.

Easter Egg-StravaganZoo

The Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge Zoological Park of Crestview hosts the inaugural Easter Egg-StravaganZoo from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 12. Activities are free (while supplies last) with a regular-priced zoo admission or annual pass and include an Easter egg hunt, decorate an egg for a zoo animal, make-and-take crafts and plant a flower, create an Easter treat and more.  The Easter Bunny will be on hand to greet the kids and for photo opportunities. A 4”X6” printed photo with the Easter Bunny in his garden is a $5 donation. Rain date is April 13.

Musical Eggstravaganza

Sinfonia Gulf Coast’s Youth Orchestra will hop into Destin Commons’ Center Plaza for a Spring Musical Extravaganza from 1-3 p.m. April 13. Sinfonia's woodwind quintet, with Aimee Shaffer narrating, will perform the classic tale of Peter and the Wolf. Abrakadoodle will be on hand with children’s crafts and face painting.

Easter party

Good News United Methodist Church in Santa Rosa Beach will have a children’s Easter party from 2:30-5:15 p.m. April 13 for the first 120 children registered ages 1 through fifth grade. Enjoy inflatables, food, crafts, games, family worship time and egg hunt. Egg hunt registration starts right at 2:30. Cost is $5 for a family with one child and $10 for two or more children.  

Children’s Egg Hunt

The Destin Library hosts its annual Easter Egg Hunt from 9:30-10:30 a.m. April 16. Pre-registration required at the Library or call 837-8572.

Easter Egg Hunt

The City of Destin’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held beginning at 9:15 a.m. April 19 at Morgan Sports Center. The hunt is for youth ages 12 and under, with a special egg hunting zone for crawlers and toddlers. For more information, call the Parks & Recreation Department at 654-5184 or email recreation@cityofdestin.com.

Easter Week

For the holiday week, April 13-20, the whole family will enjoy special activities as well as the chef’s Easter Buffet Brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Easter Sunday in the ballroom at the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa. The Easter Bunny will attend the brunch to have picture taken with families. Adults are $36.95; children 6-12 are $13.95; and children under 5 are complimentary with adult buffet. Easter Explosion

Skip, hop or jump your way from 12-3 p.m. April 19 to The Village of Baytowne Wharf for an explosion of free fun and enjoy visits with the Easter Bunny, kid’s crafts, inflatable fun zone, stilt walker making balloon animals, face painting and more. Special showing of Peter & The Wolf presented by Sinfonia Gulf Coast begins at 1 p.m.

Egg Hunt

Impact Life Church will host a free community event, “Pirates Treasure Egg Hunt,” from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. April 19 at Marler Park on Okaloosa Island, behind the Emerald Coast Convention Center.

Seaside Easter Celebration

The annual Easter Egg-stravaganza, including a visit from the Easter Bunny, live music from 30A Radio and an Easter egg hunt with more than 12,000 eggs takes place from 12-2 p.m. April 20 at the Seaside Amphitheater.

Easter Brunch at Caliza Pool

Celebrate Easter from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 20 at Caliza Restaurant in Alys Beach. Call 213-5700 for reservations and menu.

Easter Bunny Brunch/Celebration

The HarborView Room at Emerald Grande hosts an Easter Bunny Brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 20. Then, hop down to HarborWalk Village until 4 p.m. for a day of kids’ activities and family fun and have your picture taken with the Easter Bunny. Make brunch reservations at 424-0622.

Easter at Rosemary Beach

Bring a low rise chair to the non-denominational church service at 8:30 a.m. April 20 on the Eastern Green. The Easter Egg Hunt begins at 9:45 a.m. on the Western Green, rain or shine. Several town center restaurants will offer Easter brunch.

WaterColor Easter Celebration

WaterColor Inn and Resort will host an Easter Celebration from 12:30-2 p.m. April 20 in Marina Park in Santa Rosa Beach. Admission is free and the event is open to the public. Bring the kids and enjoy an Easter Egg Hunt and more.

Vue Easter Celebration

Vue on 30a will host an Easter brunch April 20 with seatings at 10 and 11:30 a.m. and 1 and 2:30 p.m. Reservations are encouraged at 267-2305. Price is $32/member; $48/non-member; $15/children ages 6-12; and free for children 5 and under.

Easter Lunch Cruise

Cruise through an Easter Lunch Buffet prepared by the SOLARIS executive chefs on April 20, leaving from Sandestin’s Baytowne Marina. Indulge in a 3-course meal, with a special children’s menu available, during a cruise of the local waters. Reservations required online at www.SunQuestCruises.com or call 650-2519.
