Wings of Freedom Tour
The Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress “Nine O Nine” WWII Heavy Bomber, Consolidated B-24 Liberator “Witchcraft” WWII Heavy Bomber and P-51 Mustang fighter will fly into Destin Airport as part of the Wings of Freedom Tour at 2 p.m. March 6 and depart at noon March 8. Cost is $12/adults and $6/children under 12 for access to up-close viewing and tours through the inside of the aircraft. WWII Veterans can tour at no cost. Hours of ground tours and display are 2-4:30 p.m. March 6; 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. March 7; and 9 a.m. to noon March 8. The 30-minute flight experiences are normally scheduled before and after the ground tour times above.
