PANAMA CITY BEACH — A New York man has been arrested after he came to Panama City Beach in hopes of meeting a 14-year-old girl for sex, according to a news release.
Instead of meeting what he thought would be a juvenile girl, 52-year-old Martin Doiron met a team of Panama City Beach Police Department officers. Investigators said Doiron was identified as a potential predator and communicated with the “girl” in hopes of meeting her for sex.
During the communications, Doiron sent nude pictures of himself, described in detail what he wanted to do to the child and offered to pay for sexual service, officers wrote.
Doiron, of Clinton, New York, was arrested Tuesday when he went to a Panama City Beach home, which he thought was the residence of the teenager, police reported. He is charged with traveling to meet a minor for sex, solicitation of a minor for sex and unlawful use of a two-way communication device.
