Fish the Days, Rock the Nights

After fishing at the Rodeo, enjoy free live music with Emerald Gold at HarborWalk Village at 7 p.m. Oct. 29. A fireworks celebration over the harbor at 9 p.m. plus a fire spinning show by Just Add Water ends the night.

Pastel Society Exhibition

The Pastel Society of North Florida will have their National Juried Exhibition through Nov. 18 at the Mattie Kelly Fine Art Galleries at NWFSC.

Pink Party

Brotula’s Seafood House & Steamer and Jackacudas Seafood + Sushi in Destin invite the community, loyal patrons and guests to the Pink Party from 6-9 p.m. Oct. 27 at Jackacudas in HarborWalk Village. 100% of proceeds will go to Carrie Bair, a tenured employee and pivotal part of the of Jackacudas family recently diagnosed with stage 1 Ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS). Mayhem at the Monster Bash

Festival of the Arts

Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation presents the 21st Annual Festival of the Arts Oct. 29-30 at the Mattie Kelly Cultural Arts Village in Destin. One of the Southeast’s premier festivals, the event showcases the original artwork of more than 100 artists from across the U.S. who will compete for $10,000 in cash award prizes. Festival features include a food bistro, wine and beer garden, live music, art activities for kids, souvenir posters and T-shirts, art drawing and more. Free shuttle service and parking is also available. Admission is free to MKAF members and children 12 and under, and $5 for adult/non-members.

Life's a Beach Show exhibition

The Arts and Design Society's exhibition of the Life's a Beach Publications' annual cover competition featuring colorful paintings reflecting the beach environment will run through Nov. 4 at 17 First Street in Fort Walton Beach. Blues, Brews and BBQ Festival

The Ninth Annual Blues, Brews and BBQ Festival takes off from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 5 at HarborWalk Village. Restaurants and chefs will compete in the cook-off competition of traditional and original spins of favorite BBQ recipes. Taste more than 20 cold craft beers brews as you taste creative BBQ from local restaurants. Restaurants compete in this contest for People's Choice Award and try to win over the taste buds of local celebrity judges. Winnings will benefit local charities. Live music by the Crowned Jewels. Walkabout fundraiser to support MKAF

Ruth’s Chris Steak House at Silver Shells Resort in Destin will host its fourth annual Fall Wine Walkabout to benefit Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation’s cultural arts and arts education initiatives from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Nov. 10 in the East Bar and Courtyard. Michael J Thomas and Jones and Company will perform. Patrons can enter a charity raffle to win vacation packages around the country. All proceeds will fund MKAF’s dual mission of presenting cultural events and arts education outreach initiatives serving populations of children and families, including those with special needs and local wounded warriors.

Arts and Crafts Christmas Market

The Arts & Design Society's members host their annual Arts and Crafts Christmas Market from Nov. 14 through Dec. 17 at the Art Center, 17 First Street, SE, in Fort Walton Beach. Nighttime Educational Beach Walks

Learn about sea turtles, their nesting habits and other wildlife along the beaches of Okaloosa Island and Destin at 8 p.m. Monday and Wednesdays through November.
