LYNN HAVEN — Police have arrested a woman in connection with a minor being beaten and robbed last month.

The Lynn Haven Police Department has announced the arrest of Rebecca Lynn Gonzales, 18, of Transmitter Road, on charges of being a principle in the first degree to armed robbery and aggravated battery.

Police responded early March 29 to a business on Transmitter Road where a minor reported he had been beaten and robbed of cash and his cell phone.

Police learned Gonzales, a school acquaintance, picked the victim up from work about 10 p.m., drove him to the closed business, and they exited the vehicle to walk in the woods, according to an LHPD report. Upon their return, a light-skinned black male wearing a hoodie confronted the victim, brandished a firearm and struck him, causing minor injuries.

The victim fled from the area and reported seeing his attacker get into Gonzales’ vehicle and leave the scene.

Gonzales was arrested Thursday and transported to the Bay County Jail for first appearance.
