Lucy Buffett will be at LuLu’s Destin for a cookbook signing Meet & Greet from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 20. She has just released her second cook-book, “Gumbo Love, Recipes for Gulf Coast Cooking, Entertaining and Savoring the Good Life.” Copies will be on sale.
The Destin History & Fishing Museum has set up a temporary exhibit “Talking Smack” that will run until Aug. 31. The exhibit details the two-masted schooners that formed the red snapper fishing fleets in the Northwest Florida waterfronts. The sailing vessels were often refereed to as “smacks.”
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission will host a workshop from 6-8 p.m. May 22 at the Destin Community Center to gather public input on the Gulf cobia fishery. Written comments on cobia and other topics can also be submitted at MyFWC.com/SaltwaterComments.
Fat Daddy’s Double Tickets Day
