DESTIN — A second man has been arrested and charged in a sexual battery that allegedly took place at a Destin hotel in November 2015.

Tamer Egemen Duman, 33, of Destin, was arrested Monday. His co-defendant, Ricardo Sanchez-Alvarez, was arrested last week.

Both men have been charged with sexual battery on a victim who was physically helpless to resist.

According to the men's Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office arrest reports, they brought a woman who was too incapacitated to walk on her own back to a hotel and had sex with her so violent it left bruises.

Video from the hotel shows Duman renting a room about 4 a.m. The two men lead the stumbling, swaying victim toward the elevator, with Duman smacking her on the buttocks along the way, according to his arrest report.

Duman told deputies he didn't know how the woman had come to be injured and that he couldn't remember whether she could walk or not, the report said.

He said the sex was consensual and the victim slept in the same bed as him. He said Sanchez-Alvarez filled him in on the details he couldn't remember.

The victim told deputies that she believed she had been drugged because she hadn't consumed enough alcohol to be incapacitated.

About 2 p.m. the next day, the victim said in the arrest report that the "fog" lifted and she fully woke to find bruising on her buttocks and chest and chafing in her groin area, the victim told investigators. One of her nipples was so injured that all of the skin peeled off.

Duman denied touching her breasts or nipples.
