DESTIN — Multiple agencies responded to a boat fire Sunday afternoon.

Coast Guard Station Destin received a call about the fire around 2:15 p.m. Destin Fire Department and Niceville Fire Department assisted with the fire, said Coast Guard firefighter Matthew Tomlinson.

"It was a go-fast boat about 1,000 yards from the Coast Guard station," Tomlinson said. "The fire was extinguished at about 3:08 p.m."

There were three people on board with no reported injuries.

In photos, the black smoke from the fire billowed over Crab Island and Destin.

Tomlinson said the cause of the fire was unknown. The small boat was anchored "somewhere by the island."
