1. Labor Day Music Festival
Boggy Bayou Productions LLC, with co-sponsor The Mattie Kelly Arts Center, will host the American Legends Labor Day Music Festival from 6-9 p.m. Sept. 1 at the Mattie Kelly Amphitheater on the NWFSC College campus. Special performances will pay tribute to the American greats and include Joshua Paul Sirten’s A Sinatra Tribute, Ron Adams Entertainment’s A Shadow of the King, and The Temptations Revue, featuring original Temptations member Reggie Reed.
Reserved seats are $25 and general admission lawn seats are $15. Blankets and folding chairs are allowed, but no coolers. There will be food and a full bar available onsite. Tickets can be purchased at www.mattiekellyartscenter.org/ or call 729-6000.
2. Labor Day Concert Celebration
Summer will go out with a bang all weekend Sept. 2 and 3 at HarborWalk Village. The Sauce Boss takes the stage at 7 p.m. Sept. 2 and Bayou Saints at 7 p.m. Sept. 3. Fireworks start at 9 p.m. Sept. 3.
3. Labor Day Concert in the Village
Make Me Smile, a 10-piece ensemble performing a tribute to the legendary band Chicago, performs from 7-9 p.m. Sept. 3 at the Dugas Pavilion and Village Green at the Mattie Kelly Cultural Arts Village in Destin. Doors open at 6 p.m. Bring a lawn chair, picnic and wine or purchase soft drinks and dinner prepared by a featured restaurant or food trucks on site. Tickets are $25/general admission and $20/MKAF members. Ages 12 and under free. Buy tickets at www.mattiekellyartsfoundation.org or at the door.
