Grief Support Group

Stephen Ministers at Destin United Methodist Church are forming a grief group for all those who have experienced a loss. The group will meet for six consecutive weeks.

The attempt to return to the routines of one’s life after facing a significant loss is no small challenge. The group will recognize the need to grieve and the need to slow down and take it easy. One day at a time is not just a cliché, it is a guiding principle for those facing loss. Readjusting after a sig-nificant loss is nothing less than beginning again … again. Our normal has been taken away from us and our new normal is both frightening and fore-boding. The group will share your journey of grief and help you to reconcile with this grief.

The group will begin at 2 p.m. Sept. 14 in the Destin Life Center.
