The Destin Dolphins Pee Wee football team faced off with the Fort Walton Beach Buccaneers on Saturday and the Pee Wee cheerleaders were ready to cheer them on.

With the help of excited parents, Pee Wee cheerleaders cheered and showed their best moves at the Destin Elementary sports complex. Their main goal was keep players motivated and confident out on the field.

“Cheerleading and playing sports gives kids confidence and also gets parents together,” said Krisy Anderson, who watched her daughter Kristianna cheer with her cheerleading squad.

Anderson said cheerleading and sporting events have made her family closer.

“It’s something we do together as a mother and daughter. It’s our little thing to do,” she said.
