It’s fall y’all and that means it’s time to roll out the festivals in Northwest Florida.

October are chalk full of exciting family events in Destin from world-famous fishing tournaments to city gatherings. So without further ado, here is Destin’s fall festival line-up.

Kid’s Fall Fest: The kids are out of school Monday, Oct. 9, and AJ’s Seafood & Oyster Bar has just the fix for cabin fever. The Kid’s Fall Fest will run from noon to 2 p.m. and include activities such as face painting, arts and crafts, and pumpkin decorating. For more information, visit www.ajsdestin.com.

Rootin’ Tootin’ Rodeo Round-Up: It’s high fishing season in the Destin area and what better way to introduce the young ones in your life to the sport than by taking them to the Okaloosa Fishing Pier for the Rootin’ Tootin’ Rodeo Round-Up. Children 10 and under are invited to the Okaloosa Island Fishing Pier from 8-11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 21. Check in for anglers begins at 8 a.m. with fishing from 9-11 a.m. Lunch is provided for all participants. Cost is $10 per angler and his/her parent and includes a T-shirt, bait, rod and reel and lunch.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Check out AJ's Seafood & Oyster Bar Saturday, Oct. 21, for a Halloween event for the adults. "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" will play on the Jumbotron beginning at 10 p.m. Dress like your favorite character to get into the action and enjoy a free Rocky Horror Survival Kit.

Story-time Halloween Costume Parade: Story-time at the Destin Library is kicking it up a notch for Halloween with their Halloween Costume Parade at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25. Bring your kids aged 4 and under to the Destin Library in costume and get ready for some fun. Parents are encouraged to pre-register by emailing Youth Service Librarian Will Rogers at wrogers@cityofdestin.com or by calling 837-8572.

Destin Commons Halloween Haunt: Get into the spooky spirit with the Destin Commons Halloween Haunt to be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27. This kid-friendly event will include Halloween crafts, face painting, trick-or-treating and a costume contest. BooLu’s: Lulu’s Destin is pulling out all the stops for this year’s BooLu’s Halloween Extravaganza, scheduled from 2-5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28. Start the afternoon off with Trunk-or-Treat in LuLu’s parking lot with your little costumed cuties, then follow the party to LuLu’s Destin where a costume contest, bouncy slide, pumpkin painting and much more await. Pumpkinpalooza Adult Costume Contest/Monster Mash Pub Crawl: This one is for the adults only! From 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, don your favorite Halloween costume and join in the Monster Mash Pub Crawl all along the Destin Harbor Boardwalk. At 7 p.m. take part in live music on the HarborWalk Village main stage, followed by fireworks at 9 p.m. and an adult costume contest. Purchase an armband to support local charity and visit HarborWalk bars including Harry T’s Lighthouse, Crab Island Cantina, Jackacuda’s Seafood and Sushi, Coyote Ugly Saloon, Fishheads, Margaritaville and Jesters. Pumpkinpalooza Kids & Pet Costume Contest: This is a Halloween festival for all ages. The event runs from 2-4:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29. Kids can take part in a costume contest at 2 p.m. followed by trick-or-treating at all of the HarborWalk Village restaurants and shops. Next up is the pet costume contest at 4 p.m. on the main stage.

City of Destin Fall Festival: Bring on the pumpkins, the costumes and the cakewalk; it’s time for the city of Destin’s 17th annual Fall Festival. The Destin Community Center is hosting this family event from 5-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 30. Cost of admission is one non-perishable food item per person for donation to a local food bank. Make sure to bring some cash for the activity booths and food. Prizes will be awarded for the carved pumpkin contest in different categories: scariest, funniest and most original, and pumpkins must be dropped off at the Community Center by 3 p.m. that day. Halloween on the Harbor: The grand finale of the Destin Fishing Rodeo is the best place to spend your Halloween night, Tuesday, Oct. 31. Come out in costume and enjoy the theatrics of the night with weigh-master Bruce Cheves, Miss Destin Rachel McMullen and Rodeo staff members dressed in Halloween costumes. Watch the final weigh-ins for the rodeo and finish off the night with fireworks.

Baytowne Wharf Trick-or-Treat Street: Take trick-or-treating to the next level this year with the Village of Baytowne Wharf’s Trick-or-Treat Street event Halloween night from 6-8 p.m. Participating merchants within the village will be handing out treats to costumed children and there will be a DJ playing Halloween tunes. After the candy fun, stick around and enjoy face painting, balloon animals, a fly-board show by Ben Merrell and a fireworks display at 8 p.m. For more information, visit www.baytownewharf.com.
