More than 1,500 children and families are expected to attend the 13th annual Emerald Coast Christmas Miracle Needy Children’s Fiesta sponsored by United for a Good Cause Inc., a tax exempt 501(c)(3) charitable organization. The event will be a fun-filled “Latin-flavored” party open to needy children and families regardless of race, ethnicity or creed.
Everything will be free at this party, including new toys for all that attend. There will be food, games, DJs, singers, church choirs, clowns, magicians, dance contests for bikes and more. Free coats courtesy of the United Way’s Coats for Kids program will also be given out. Santa and his hard-working group of elves will all be there to ensure all the kids get a new toy.
The party is scheduled from 1-7 p.m. Dec. 17 at the Emerald Coast Convention Center on Okaloosa Island.
From 1–2 p.m., only families with children with disabilities will be allowed as a way of providing them an opportunity to enjoy the activity before the general public comes in. The general public will be allowed to enter starting at 2 p.m.
The support of the generous Emerald Coast community of businesses and individuals is needed to make this already very popular and highly attended event even better. Business sponsorship opportunities are available and monetary or in-kind donations are welcome.
Volunteers also welcomed and we especially invite the youth of the Emerald Coast to volunteer of their time to serve their community at this event. Visit www.unitedforagoodcause.org or www.facebook.com/UnitedForAGoodCauseInc?ref=hl for more information.
The organization was instrumental in the founding of the Luces Navideñas Needy Children’s Christmas Party that served more than 2,600 children and families from 2005 – 2011.
In 2012, the party was rebranded into the annual Emerald Coast Christmas Miracle Children’s Fiesta. The event has grown tremendously and more than 4,800 attended from 2012 to 2016.
